I recently sat down with Dr. Edward Smither, Dean of the College of Intercultural Studies at Columbia International University (my alma mater) to discuss their brand new online MA in Global Migration Studies.
As we talked, I knew I couldn’t wait to share this opportunity with you!
“In our Intercultural Studies program over the years, there has been more and more focus on immigrant and refugee issues,” said Smither. “But recently, we decided it was time to start a first-of-its-kind program focusing entirely on these issues.”
Is this program for you?
- As you work among immigrants, do you often stop and think, “I really don’t know what I’m doing!”?
- Do you wish you had a better grasp of the overarching biblical principles which can inform ministry among immigrants, or of the broad strokes of the history and politics of migration over centuries that have influence on our current situation today?
- Do you wish you had access to experts practitioners in diaspora missiology, people who have years of experience developing and implementing best practices for viable ministry among immigrant populations?
The MA in Global Migration Studies can be completed entirely online. Students will take one class at a time, finishing a class every 8 weeks. Imagine: you could get further education that would enrich your ministry without leaving your ministry to do so!
